When transitioning from anti-perspirant to natural deodorant, you will sweat more and produce more odor in the first two weeks than ever before, as your body purges the aluminum build-up and associated odor-causing bacteria stored up from your previous product. The transition period usually lasts between two and four weeks, and it's this increased sweating and odor during "the purge" that leads many people to believe natural deodorants don't work for them. The fix is simple: just use more natural deodorant during this period, twice or more a day if need be.

my previous "natural" deodorant suddenly ceased working... suspect a formula change? I couldn't go more than a few hours without feeling like i needed to re-apply. Just wasn't holding up like it used to. Found Church, gave it a try and have been very impressed. Granted, I'm only two weeks in to the switch over, but so far... this stuff lives up to the hype. All day deodorant. Would absolutely recommend.
Did you know that Native is owned by P&G? So that plucky little indie company is now part of a global conglomerate, not to mention that they abandoned their plastic-free line. Why mention this? Because Church California has been doing small-batch, plastic-free, natural deodorants for a while now, and even when I was buying Native, I liked this one better. But now? ALL IN, BABY. The best scent, the most perfectly designed tube that doesn’t shave the sides of the deodorant and become all gummy in the package. Long-lasting too! I’ve gone the usual 24 hours with a workout, and it keeps on going! Aluminum-free, so you won’t have an allergic reaction. JUST BUY THIS ALREADY. Why are you still reading?
I like this product for a lot of reasons but the deal breaker is I sweat more with it than other deodorants. I used this for a number of months and two sticks. It does a decent job of keeping odor away for 12-24 hours but for some reason I sweat more with it and it shows through my clothes. Switched to other products and that problem is gone. It also wasn't a problem before I used this product. Maybe it's just a bad fit for my body?
Hey Chris, our deodorant is not an anti-perspirant, meaning it will not prevent sweating. When transitioning to a natural deodorant like ours, there is an adjustment period as your body detoxes from the aluminum build-up of your previous product - this period includes increased sweating. After 2-3 weeks your body will normalize, sweat less, and require less deodorizing.

WHAT DOES HAIR WAX DO?
Hair wax is a strong hold styling product that dually soothes and controls unruly hair, while providing structured styling and hold. Our hybrid formula of plant waxes and unrefined bentonite clay, naturally binds hair follicles together to add volume while bolstering hair for traditional styling and shape while locking in all-day hold. Our chemical-free, water-based formula also nourishes and repairs hair, sealing in moisture and protecting hair and scalp against environmental stress and UV damage. Fatty plant oils and herbal infusions add luster and shine to hair, fortifying its follicular structure and renewing it from the roots. People with thick, straight, and hard-to-tame hair will specifically notice the benefits of adding a wax to their styling process. We recommend using a dime-sized amount of wax and working it into the hair with your fingertips for natural styling or wet combing it into hair for a more polished look.

Our Clay pomade offers medium hold and shine, thickens and shapes hair, and is perfect for a casual everyday styling. Wax pomade is a harder styling option with more shine and tight hold for a more traditional, polished styling. WHAT DOES WATER BASED MEAN?
Most conventional products are made with cheap chemical ingredients and byproducts like petroleum, which are essentially “dead” ingredients; long lasting and easily mass produced for maximum profit. We formulate our products to be as bioavailable as possible, meaning that they support and enhance your biology rather than disrupting and damaging it. Like your body, our formulas are built using a base of vitalized water; water that has been re-oxygenated and molecularized to support deep healing in the body. The vitalization process rebalances the molecular stage of water by creating a vortex and spinning the water to incorporate oxygen back into the water structure, similar to what happens naturally in nature.
