Sustainably harvested off the gulf of Mexico, divers cut these natural wool sea sponges right out of the ocean, leaving about an inch behind and squeezing the spores by hand to ensure they grow back in the same spot. Wool sea sponges are the finest quality, they're thick and full and feel luxurious to the touch.
This is a natural product, born of the sea, and so no two sea sponges are alike. Our sponges average 3-4 inches in diameter, which we find to be the perfect size for face washing and daily shower use.

I do love this sponge. It was perfect but I’ve only had it a week or two and it’s already falling apart. I’ve tried to ring it out and keep it dry every time I use it and I only clean with castor oil soap, so I’m not sure if this is usual. I thought it would last longer than a week or so.
Hi Coffee - cool name! These sea sponges are truly natural sponges - they’re plants actually - and so no two are alike. It sounds like the one you got fell apart, which will happen eventually, but usually after many months of usage (not weeks). Pro tip: when this happens, you can snip off that one piece and continue to use it. I’ve just emailed you to let you know we’re sending a new sponge. Thank you - Ryan.
This is a quality sea sponge—I have been using it daily and it offers gentle exfoliation for my sensitive skin. Love that it’s soft and creates a luxurious lather no matter if I use a bar of soap or liquid body wash. I specifically bought it to replace the use of washcloths since sponges naturally are resistant to mold, mildew and bacteria. Do yourself a favor and get one for everyone in your household. I plan to purchase more, these are a great price, excellent quality and the perfect size.
